Yes, I know. It's been over a year. But I'm going to try again now! We've had some big changes, most notably moving from Abilene to Schertz, TX, in May. We are getting settled in here in the San Antonio area and have quickly become very busy this fall! The summer was nice (and hot!) and relaxing with no scheduled activities. We spent lots of time swimming and a little time unpacking. We are happy to be much closer to my parents and brother in Austin and our familiy in Houston, too. We also have a couple of friends from Abilene who moved to the San Antonio area before us. It has been wonderful to already have friends here!
We are visiting a church here in Schertz, and the children are enjoying the children's programs, including VBS this summer. The girls have started ballet at Connally's Dance Workshop, and they will be in a production of Cinderella next month. Adrienne will be a bunny, and Aubrey is a butterfly. We have joined the world of soccer, with the children playing on 3 separate teams, each with 2 practices a week (at 3 separate parks), and games on Saturdays (thankfully all in one location!). I'll post pictures soon! The girls will start Girl Scouts next month. Aubrey is joining a Brownie troop that meets at the school on base, and I will be leading Adrienne's Daisy troop this year, along with a friend who ran the troop last year. We really miss our troop in Abilene! We have joined a homeschool group that has co-op classes on Friday mornings. The children have class for 3 hours (preschool, K, and 2nd), and I help out for 2 hours and get a break for one. Next semester I will be teaching one of the classes.
